Knowing the cause is important to handle eczema

There are times when the skin cells could get irritated and appear as dry, flaky or scaly and lifeless and could get associated with an itching sensation.Dermatitis or Eczema is a condition in which there is an inflammation or irritation of the superficial layer that leads to itching.The commonest cause of Eczema is Atopy and is widespread in children in the first three years of life.Allergy causes Dermatitis. A metal watchstrap; artificial jewellery, bindis etc cause a skin lesion and later spreads to other parts of the body.

It is termed as Contact Dermatitis. Seborrheoic Eczema occurs when the skin is more vulnerable over the scalp and areas where the moistness is prevalent like armpits, axillae etc. People suffering from Varicose veins are also prone to Eczema if the stasis of the blood in the superficial veins causes itching etc. In all types of eczema there is redness, thickness and itching of the area with scarred surfaces that tend to heal and form into black and thick patches. These areas could be the size of a coin or more widespread and could occur simultaneously at many areas of the body.

When unavoidable like detergents one could use a pair of gloves, footwear when working in those areas for example. Moisturizer should be applied immediately and also after a bath within five minutes of drying. Cotton should be worn most of the time. Homoeopathic medicine has good remedies to soothe, smooth and hydrate the skin by correcting the inflammatory response.

Remedies like Mercurius, Graphites help in rooting out allergic responses and the moist skin due to infection while Sulphur removes the tendency even as Sarsaparilla brings life to dry skin.

Excessive bleeding

For past two years my daughter has a period, which lasts for 10 to 15 days and mostly spotting to start with and the bleeding increases as days progress. Gynaecologist opinion is Ovarian cysts.

Pained limb
